Primarily Nerello Mascalese with a small percentage of Nerello Cappuccio.

Etna DOC, northern slopes of Mount Etna volcano in Sicily, Italy - from Donnafugata's high-altitude vineyards (730-750m) on volcanic, lava-rich soils.

Taste Profile:
Pale ruby red with an elegant bouquet of red fruits (raspberries, cherries, wild berries), floral violet notes, and delicate spices (star anise, cinnamon, nutmeg, white pepper). Fresh palate with silky/velvety tannins, mineral volcanic character, lively acidity, and a long, balanced finish.

Food Pairing:
Grilled meats, mushroom risotto, pasta, braised game, bold Mediterranean dishes.
