Please note, our bean-to-bar artisan truffles are handcrafted by our Expert Chocolatier Louise using fresh ingredients meaning they have a 4 week shelf life. Please bare this in mind when selecting your delivery date.

 

Pebblebed Sparkling Rose

Pebblebed was founded by our dear friend and neighbour, Geoff Bowen, in 1999 as a sustainable, small vineyard just over the hedge from Darts Farm here in Devon. 

Geoff sadly passed a few years ago, but wished for Pebblebed’s legacy to continue as part of the Darts Farm family. The day-to-day running of the 22 acre vineyard and making of the wine continues under the expert hands of head wine maker, Alex, who has been part of the Pebblebed team for nearly 10 years. There is such a bright future for this iconic vineyard and we are so excited to continue to build on its unique heritage and legacy.

Crafted using the traditional Champagne method, with a minimum of two years on lees (fermenting) in the Pebblebed cellars, before the sediment is removed in the winery. The blend of Seyval Blanc and Rondo grapes make for delicate red berry and rose petal flavours, balanced with a fresh acidity.

Cow & Cacao Handcrafted Truffles (box of 4)

We are proud to be one of the few UK producers to craft chocolate from bean to bar. As farmers ourselves, we know that good food starts on the farm, so our priority is sourcing incredible cacao from small scale growers in rare origins around the world. We believe in chocolate that is both environmentally & economically sustainable, from forest to food hall.

Once the sacks land at Darts Farm, our lengthy six stage process begins. In small batches, Chocolatier Louise carefully roasts the beans, before cracking the shell to release the nib. We then grind the nibs in our granite mixer, the ‘conche’, for up to 55 hours before aging our chocolate in 5kg bricks for 2-3 weeks. Finally, we melt it down to create bars, truffles & all things chocolate!
