Understanding Gut Health & the Microbiome

Join us for a 3-course seasonal supper, where we will talk all things gut health, fermentation & the rise of ultra processed foods with registered nutritionist, Tamara Bennett and Rachel de Thample, River Cottage’s own fermentation and wellness guru whose expertise spans farm to fork fermentation, nurturing gut health and seasonal wellness. 

The pair will share their extensive knowledge on on ferments like sauerkrauts, kimchi's, kombuchas and kefirs, as wells as gut-friendly tonics, broths and natural remedies and their impact on gut health, as well as inspiring recipes and simple tips to support our immune system through the colder months. 

 Menu 

Welcome drink

Sourdough, pickles, cultured butter

Roasted Jerusalem artichoke salad, bitter leaves, walnut, pear, fermented carrot and balsamic dressing. 

Slow cooked roasting rib of beef, brown lentil and turnip stew, Darts brassicas.

Apple, single origin bitter chocolate and kefir mousse, Darts raw honey.
