Traditional Italian Easter cake, founded nearly 50 years ago by Maria and Giuliano, Filippi has now handed down to the next generation; their sons Andrea and Lorenzo.
Crafted using their unique, 40 year old mother yeast and only the finest ingredients; including free range eggs and real Bourbon vanilla beans. Each cake is topped with icing made from ‘Prima Bari’ almonds from Puglia and studded with hand-peeled, candied orange peel.

This rich, fluffy Italian cake is traditionally made with high quality flour, farm fresh eggs, sugar, butter and natural yeast. After rising for at least 30 hours, the dough is baked into the iconic dove shape, representing peace and spring, then topped with pearl sugar and almonds.
