- Chablis 1st Cru Fourchaume
On a recent visit to the wine region of Chablis, Michael and James Dart met legendary wine producer Daniel and his 2 daughters Emilie and Laurence, who have now joined the family business. The Seguinots have been working the vines for generations, Daniel’s vineyard is located on the right bank of the river Serein, where he produces his award winning Chablis. The deep kimmeridgian soils bring a fruity, intense, mineral and greasy note to this Chablis Premier Cru Fourchaume. It should be drunk at 12 to 13 C and pairs harmoniously with scallops, shellfish, flat or smoked fish and poultry in cream sauce.
- Meursault les Narvaux
Located above the premier cru Les Genevrières, Bouzereau’s 3 parcels of Narvaux sit on lean, stony soils and thick limestone. They have an east/southeast exposure, and the slope is quite pronounced. Many consider Narvaux to be of premier cru quality. A beautiful golden colour in the glass. A creamy and powerful Meursault - round and rich on the palate, with orchard fruit characters. It is lifted on the finish by vibrant acidity. When young, this is the perfect partner to grilled fish.
- Sancerre White
Situated in the village of Chavignol, about 2km from Sancerre, Serge and Elisabeth Laporte’s small family domaine is made up of numerous small parcels of estate grown Sauvignon scattered throughout the Chavignol commune, long regarded as one of the top crus of Sancerre. An elegant and citrusy white wine, with notes of gooseberry. Wonderful with grilled asparagus and fish.
- Chateau D’Aussieres
Due to its exceptional geographical location, the unique wine-growing site and its history, Domaine d’Aussières is a place of wild, natural beauty that emanates tremendous power”. These words of Baron Eric explain why he fell in love with Aussières and what led Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) to restore and revitalize one of the oldest and most beautiful wine-making properties in the Narbonne region. Produced from a strict selection from the best plots in the vineyard; initially, the nose presents oak and roasted notes from the barrel ageing, it then becomes more complex with a hint of cloves and liquorice.
Paying full respect to tradition, Domaine Clos de la Chapelle is the alchemy of a small, historic domaine from the renowned wine village of Volnay. Comprised exclusively of a handful of exceptional Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards in the Côte de Beaune. A medium-bodied red with excellent, silky flavours of cherry and berry. With a refreshing tannin, this wine is delicious with lamb or beef.
- Beard La Chapelle
Located about 25 miles east of Bordeaux, Saint-Émilion’s vines flourish on an infinitely nuanced terroir. Employing innovative techniques alongside centuries-old traditions, the winegrowers of Lussac Saint-Émilion, Puisseguin Saint-Émilion, Saint-Émilion and Saint-Émilion Grand Cru make wines that are packed with emotions. The history of this winegrowing region and its wines stretches over 2,000 years. Deep purple in colour with an opulent, round and well-balanced mouth and rich black fruit flavours and a long silky mineral finish. Pairs perfectly with grilled red meat and cheese.
